Freud *--*

Bueno esta es mi tarea de ingles sobre Freud, me estresé demaciado haciendola, lo que significa que invertí mucho tiempo en escribirla y traducirla, por lo que la publicaré aquí :)

Sigmund Freud was born on May 6, 1856 in the village of Freiberg, Moravia (now the Czech Republic) into a Jewish merchant family. His mother was Amalia Nathanson, and his father was Jacob Freud who was 20 years older than Amalia. Sigmund was the first child of this marriage. When he was 4 years old, his family moved to the capital city of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Vienna, where Freud remained until the Nazi invasion and occupation in 1938. They were Jewish so Sigmund’s early experience was an outsider in a overwhelmingly Catholic community. However, Emperor Francis Joseph had liberated the Jews of Austria, giving them equal rights and permitting them to settle anywhere in the empire. They lived in an area that had a high concentration of Jewish people, called the Leopoldstadt slum. The housing was cramped and they had to move often, sometimes living with their father´s family. By his tenth year, Sigmund’s family had grown and he had five sisters and one brother. His parents taught him at home before joining in Spurling gymnasium. When he was 17 years old, he passed his final examination with flying colours, for that reason he entered in the University of Vienna. His family recognized his special scholarly and gives to Sigmund his own room to study hard and quietly. He lived with his parents until he was 27, it was the custom at that time. Freud enrolled in a medical school in 1873. He pursued a fellowship in this field, to travel to Paris to work with Jean Martin Charcot, who was a pioneer in the study of hysteria and also pointed out an interest in hypnotic states. Under Charcot’s direction, he turned definitively from mainstream medical studies to the nascent speculative field of psychology. In 1886, Freud returned from his academic studies in Paris to Vienna, where he started a private practice specializing in nervous and brain disorders. That same year, Sigmund was married with Martha Bernays with whom he had six children. Over the next decade, Freud combined clinical practice with theoretical insights to develop the foundational principles of Psychoanalysis. His theory stipulated that in the mind there are "unconscious mental contents" hidden for the subject itself, these contents may be representative, such as those relating to the subject's knowledge of his past experiences, or emotional type such as desires, instincts or appetites in general. In 1902, Freud became a professor at the University of Vienna, where working with others professionals founded the Vienna psychoanalytic society, and he wrote many essays, including “three essays on the theory of sexuality” published in 1905. The First World War brought many problems to Freud, who could not produce new ideas for his theory. He had three sons in the war, and nervously awaited the outcome of international conflict. At the most important part of his career, Freud was diagnosed with cancer, for this he suffered a lot and he had difficulties to continue with his work. During the Nazi occupation Freud tried to remain in Vienna, but when his daughter Anna was captured by the Gestapo and later released, he decided, with the help of Princess Marie Bonaparte, took refuge in Paris. Finally Freud moved to London where his doctor and friend Max Schur assisted him in his suicide. Freud died of a morphine overdose in London on September 23, 1939.
